Meet Katherine

A lifelong Texan and a dedicated advocate for children and families, Katherine Allen Weaver has spent over two decades serving the most vulnerable members of our community with integrity, compassion, and unwavering commitment to justice.

Katherine co-founded Allen & Weaver, P.C. in 2011, where she serves as a shareholder, focusing on family law and child welfare law, including complex CPS cases and child welfare appeals. Prior to this, she successfully ran her own firm, The Allen Law Firm, after gaining experience at respected law firms in Dallas and San Antonio. Her extensive courtroom and appellate experience ensures that she is not “learning on the bench” — she is ready to serve from day one.

A graduate of Fort Worth Country Day School, Katherine earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and German from Colgate University. She went on to complete both her Juris Doctor and Master of Arts in International Relations at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio.

Katherine’s expertise in family law is widely recognized; she is frequently appointed as an amicus attorney, entrusted by the court to represent the best interests of children. Her ability to navigate high-stakes cases with empathy and fairness has earned her a reputation as a principled and thoughtful advocate.

Beyond her legal work, Katherine is deeply engaged in the Tarrant County community. She serves on the board of the Tarrant County Family Law Bar Association and is active in professional organizations such as the State Bar of Texas and the Tarrant County Bar Association. She is also a member of Compass Christian Church.

Katherine’s commitment to service extends far beyond the courtroom. She is involved with 100 Women Who Care, participates in National Adoption Day efforts, and supports various animal rescue and pet charities. She has worked alongside Meals on Wheels and partnered with programs supporting Tarrant County’s drug court and CPS initiatives, demonstrating her dedication to improving the lives of families throughout the county.

A proud mother, Katherine’s son attends Shelton School and navigates learning differences, including ADHD and dyslexia. This personal experience has deepened her understanding of the unique challenges faced by many families and shaped her compassionate approach to the law.

Katherine Allen Weaver’s career and life reflect her core belief: that every family deserves a judge who brings both expertise and heart to the bench. With her proven legal experience, longstanding community ties, and commitment to justice, Katherine is uniquely prepared with the experience needed to serve as Tarrant County’s next Family Court Judge.
